2. Your Letter Please help ~ We need your support! With the nearest public run more than 1 mi. away, our West Village neighborhood has fewer dog-friendly resources than most neighborhoods in NYC. With its impending re-design, Seravalli is the ideal solution.  We propose a run along Hudson within the often-empty open space -- JUST 10% of the total 50,000 sq. feet.  This is LESS than the DWP has occupied these past few years.  The strong, official presence of dog owners will create a safer, more inviting atmosphere for all park users and discourage unwelcome activities. By creating an inclusive space for ALL neighbors, Seravalli can restore a greater sense of "community;" effectively reducing the impact of the neighborhood's creeping commercialization.
